- The agency must be able to examine the text to be translated in advance. The document to be translated must be received by the agency in legible form and include any tables, diagrams or drawings contained in the text. Any glossaries and/or documentation regarding the subject matter must also be provided.
- The translation shall be commissioned by means of a letter of assignment or equivalent in which the sum due as well as the terms of delivery and payment are specified.
- Clients are responsible for delivery or collection at their own expense.
- Dates for delivery of completed translations are not binding unless expressly stated and exclusively regard material received by the agency upon its acceptance of the project.
- The agency is responsible for the confidentiality and safekeeping of clients' documents while they are in its possession. At the client's request and expense, the agency can arrange for documents to be insured during transport.
- Pursuant to Directive 2000 /35/CE, payment of the agreed fee shall take place after the receipt of an invoice and not later than 30 days after delivery. On expiry of that period interest on arrears will be applied in accordance with Article 3.1 of the Directive and Article 5.1 of Legislative Decree No. 231 of 9.10.2002.
- For particularly large projects, the agency shall be entitled to receive payment of a part of the total fee agreed in advance.
- If it becomes impossible for the agency to complete the work as a result of documentable circumstances beyond its control, the agency may cease work on the project without being liable to pay any compensation.
- For projects assigned and subsequently cancelled, a cancellation fee of 10% of the total price agreed is payable. Any translation already completed is placed at the client's disposal and must be paid for in its entirety.
- Any complaint or request must be submitted not later than 15 days after the date of delivery.
